It is Farmer’s Market season in Northern Colorado, and let me tell you, NOCO goes all in for farmer’s markets. During the summer months, almost every day of the week, you can get your farmer’s market fix.
From Wellington to Boulder and everywhere in between, you will find fresh farm goods, local NOCO businesses, including handmade jewelry, mocktails, locally raised beef, and of course, fresh produce. Some farmer’s markets have really become like mini festivals each week, with live music, food trucks, and local goods, making them the perfect place to spend a Thursday afternoon in Wellington or a Saturday or Sunday morning across Northern Colorado.
So where and when are these farmer’s markets, and what do they have going on?
Let’s make our way from north to south, weaving across NOCO to find the perfect market for you—or maybe you want to use this as a guide to hit up all the options over the next three months. (If you do that, please tag us @thisisnoco on Instagram so we can share in your journey!)
Starting up north, Wellington’s Main Street Market hits Centennial Park every Thursday night from 4:30–7:30 pm, from July to September.
Laporte’s Open Air Market will help you make your way south at the American Legion on 54G and Taft Hill every Saturday from 9:00 am–1:00 pm, May 18th–October 26th.
Fort Collins hosts both the Larimer County Farmer’s Market at 200 W. Oak St. (in the parking lot of the Larimer County Administrative Building) every Saturday from May 17th–October 25th from 9:00 am–1:00 pm. I love this one for the local vendors and live music—it feels like a mini festival every week!
Fort Collins Farmer’s Market has you covered on the south end of Fort Collins at 1001 E. Harmony Rd (in the parking lot of Ace Hardware) running on Sundays from May 4th–November 9th and on Wednesdays from June 4th–September 24th, 10:00 am–2:00 pm. When I’m looking for more produce, I tend to head down to the Fort Collins Farmer’s Market.
Making our way south, don’t miss the Timnath Farmer’s Market right on Main Street every Sunday from 10:00 am–2:00 pm, from May to October. If they are around this year be sure to stop by Top of the Lake Coffee here!
Next, head on over to Windsor’s Farmer’s Market at Boardwalk Park on Saturdays from June 7th to September 6th, then take a stroll around Windsor Lake before heading across I-25 to the
Loveland Farmer’s Market at Fairgrounds Park on Sundays from June 1st to September 28th from 9:00 am–1:00 pm.
Are you on the west side of Loveland, don’t worry—Loveland West Farmer’s Market has you covered at 2665 W. Eisenhower Blvd (in the parking lot of Jax) every Tuesday from 9:00 am–1:00 pm, April 22nd to September. Then head straight down Highway 34 over to
Greeley Farmers Market in downtown Greeley on 7th Street, north of Lincoln Park, every Saturday from May 3rd to October 25th.
Want to go the other way on 34? Don’t worry, the Estes Valley Farmer’s Market at the Estes Visitor Center on Thursdays from 8:00 am–1:00 pm has all your needs covered.
Live a little closer to Denver? There are markets for you without having to head into the city. Longmont Farmer’s Market at the Boulder County Fairgrounds every Saturday from 8:00 am–1:00 pm, April 5th–November 15th.
Or check out the Boulder Market on 13th Street (between Arapahoe Ave and Canyon Boulevard) on Saturdays from April 5th–November 22nd at 8:00 am–1:00 pm and also on Wednesdays from May 7th–October 8th at 3:30 pm–7:30 pm. But leave the doggies at home when you head to the Longmont and Boulder markets.
The season of outdoor markets screams summer fun! I love roaming through the aisles of the market and coming home with a new fresh find every week. I can’t wait to see what we find this year!
