Learn More About This Event

After two years of planning, building, and perfecting every last detail, G-Que BBQ is officially ready to open its doors in Northern Colorado. Mark your calendars: G-Que BBQ will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location in Timnath on Thursday, April 23, 2026, bringing Colorado’s Championship BBQ to Northern Colorado for the very first time.

Located at 4931 Cima Vista Drive in the Ladera development, across from Floor & Decor, this highly anticipated restaurant marks a major milestone for the brand as it expands north and introduces a whole new community to its slow-smoked barbeque and local ice cream.

“Like great brisket, this didn’t happen overnight. Low and slow for two years—and now it’s ready!” said Jason Ganahl, founder and firestarter behind G-Que BBQ. “We’ve been dreaming about bringing G-Que to Northern Colorado for a long time—and we’re ready to show Timnath, and all of our new neighbors, what Championship BBQ is all about.”

The new Timnath location is built to deliver the full G-Que experience, featuring:

  • Over 4,000 square feet of dining space

  • Seating for approximately 170 guests

  • A full bar and patio built for Colorado sunshine

  • The Ice Cream Farm ice cream counter serving premium small-batch flavors

  • The Que-Thru Mobile Pick-Up Lane for fast, convenient pick-up of mobile orders

In addition, the brand will be opening with its popular Monday-Friday 2-5pm Happy Hour – first beer $1 plus other drink and food specials including the Pitmaster’s Pick-3 – an assortment of smoke-meats and a side for a shareable midday snack.

Bring a Friend & Meet New People. Better conversations. Better connections. Way less pressure. How it works: Guests are encouraged to attend in male/female pairs (bring a single friend of the opposite sex) Pairs & Possibilities is a different kind of singles night — one designed to feel more natural, social, and actually fun. Guests are encouraged to bring a friend of the opposite sex. This does two things. Makes it easier to walk in, relax, and start conversations right away and helps with keeping gender ratios somewhat more balanced. We’ll kick things off with a few light, structured rotations to help you meet new people, then open things up with conversation-based games, speed dating, and plenty of space to mingle. Whether you’re looking to meet someone, expand your circle, or just enjoy a great night out — this is designed to help you connect without the pressure. Free drink is included in your ticket price. This can be a non alcohol option, well beverage or select draft. Other food and drinks are available for purchase. Here’s what to expect: Check-in & Mingling Arrive, grab a drink, and settle in. Coming with a friend helps you ease into the space right away. Light Icebreaker A quick, low-pressure way to get everyone interacting and loosen things up. Speed Dating Rounds Short, guided rotations so you can meet a variety of people without overthinking it. Conversation Games We’ll shift into small groups with prompts designed to spark better, more meaningful conversations. Open Social + Free Pool Stay, hang out, revisit conversations, and let the night unfold more naturally.

Learn More About This Event
A morning of bird watching for nature lovers. At the High Plains Environmental Center in Loveland, restoration ecologists are working to bring nature back into the landscapes where people live, work, and play. Through decades of habitat restoration, once-degraded land has been transformed into thriving native prairies, wetlands, and woodlands that support birds, pollinators, and other wildlife. The center also invites the public to experience this work firsthand through its monthly research bird banding program, where trained researchers carefully capture, study, and release wild birds to collect important data on migration, health, and population trends. After the banding, visitors can join a guided walk through the restored landscapes, gaining a deeper appreciation for the native plants and ecosystems that make Northern Colorado such a special place to call home.
