Let's be honest — Fort Collins didn't need another reason to be one of the most livable towns in Colorado, but its parks system decided to show off anyway. With around 50 parks and nearly a thousand acres of green space scattered across town, this city takes recess seriously. Silos you can slide between. A wooly mammoth you can climb. A twelve-foot wooden sugar beet. Yes, really.

he Beauty of Blackness Fine Arts Show is returning to the Opera Galleria September 3rd–6th, 2026. Come and experience the emotion, the joy, and the darkness that the art will evoke.

Let's get one thing straight: in Fort Collins, you cannot walk more than a block without tripping over some form of creativity. This town has entire city programs and nonprofits dedicated to making sure a stroll to get coffee turns into an accidental gallery tour. Alleyways moonlight as galleries. Utility boxes wear costumes. Pianos just... live outside, unsupervised, daring strangers to play them. Sidewalks have secret messages etched into the concrete, courtesy of kids bare

MeadKrieger is a family-owned and operated meadery in the historic downtown Loveland district. Producing delicious meads from locally sourced honey. If you are new to mead or just unfamiliar, I highly recommend stopping by MeadKrieger. They make serious meads and honor and embrace the Nordic traditions associated with it

When your favorite outdoor gear starts to show some wear and tear, it is easy to think you have to give up your most well-loved items and turn to the store to find something new. Adrienne and Kevin Banker at Upcycled Outdoor are here to show you that there is a different option.

At Happy Lucky’s Tea, the warmth can be felt in hands and in hearts. Find your happy- at Happy Lucky's Tea Angela Mitchell felt this warmth that winter evening in the back room of the store. “With so much going on in the world right now, it's really easy to feel helpless, you know? So, seeing that there are people in our community who are doing something to help others feel safe

Step outside in Loveland, and you're immediately surrounded by art. It's on the walls of downtown buildings, tucked beside lakes with mountain backdrops, spread across sprawling parks, and painted on fiberglass hearts standing five feet tall. This isn't a city that keeps its art locked up behind gallery walls — it puts it right out on the sidewalk for everyone to enjoy. And with more than $12.5 million worth of public art scattered throughout town, there's a whole lot of side

At the corner of Jefferson and College, on the edge of downtown Fort Collins, you’ll find a new cocktail bar that has me pretty excited.

Tucked into the folds of Pleasant Valley, just a short drive west of Fort Collins, sits one of Northern Colorado's most beloved hidden gems. Morning Fresh Dairy has been a fixture of the Bellvue landscape since 1894 — that's not a typo. While most businesses celebrate a 25th anniversary with a banner and a cake, the Graves family is well into their sixth generation of farming the same land, milking the same herd's descendants, and delivering fresh, all-natural dairy products

In this column, we’ll celebrate everything worth drinking in Northern Colorado—whiskeys, beers, wines, craft cocktails, liquor stores, happy hours, restaurants, and the people who make it all happen. I’m Christian McClure, your guide and a certified sommelier (Level 2 through the Court of Master Sommeliers). Before we dive into the local scene, I thought it would be fun to share how a kid from Wyoming ended up obsessed with wine

Spring is just around the corner, and if you've been thinking about eating more local food, there's no better way to dive in than joining a Community Supported Agriculture program — or CSA. The idea is simple: you buy a "share" of a local farm's harvest upfront, and in return, you receive fresh, seasonal produce throughout the growing season. You support the farmer, the farmer feeds your family, and your food dollars stay right here in Northern Colorado. It's a win all around

I approached the counter to learn more and was met by Founder and Owner, Moses Oqueli. With his bright smile and impeccable sense of style, Moses and I chatted about his business and products. Before I walked away, he offered me a cup of Cafe de Olla coffee and a locally-made concha (Mexican-style sweet bun), on the house. His generosity was easy and genuine. I knew I had to come back to learn more.

At the end of the day, what makes NOCO brewing culture stand apart? You could say it is the quality of beer, the variety of breweries available, or the love of the craft. But if you were to ask me, I would say that all of those things are lovely and necessary to keep our brewery culture alive and well. However, what truly sets NOCO breweries apart is their collaboration, the friendship, and the ability to sit around and drink Coors Light on a Friday night together.

Dr. Jackson Crawford, and those events were his monthly talks at Meadkrieger about Norse Mythology. We had the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Crawford and learn a little bit about the man behind the legendary monthly talks. What I was not expecting was to be sitting down with a consultant on Norse culture for projects like Frozen and Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, someone who walked away from being a professor to bring this culture to the masses!

If you are anything like us, you love seeing the vibrant colors in the spring and summer, and those first buds popping through the cold ground give you a serotonin burst you didn’t know you were waiting for every spring. But if you are anything like us, you also kind of tune out from all garden care once the buds start to fall. Every fall, I think to myself I should care for my garden now to get it prepped for next spring, but I get so lost in where to start that I just don’t

So if you have been looking to find your FOCO foodie scene, remember: Ace Gillett’s serves food… and damn good food at that.

We sat down with Chef Fat Dan to hear how he turned Locust Cider into Norther Colorados first Celiac Safe Restaurant. Chef Fat Dan gives a great interview—but it's what he says off-camera that truly inspires. He moves through the world with a unique blend of humility and confidence. From the moment he introduces himself—“Hi, I’m Chef Fat Dan”—you get a glimpse of someone who doesn’t take life too seriously, but is also damn good at what he does. As the executive chef of Locus
