Jessup Farm Artisan Village Invites Community ToCelebrate Fall at Harvest Festival

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – This fall, Jessup Farm Artisan Village is celebrating the season with scarecrows, costumed canines, homemade treats and fun for the whole family. The community is invited to welcome the arrival of autumn at the Jessup Farm Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a full day of festive activities, live music, local vendors, food and drinks, and plenty of fall fun.

 

The Harvest Festival will offer plenty of ways to kick off the season. Event highlights include:

 

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE SCARECROW

Jessup Farm merchants have put their creativity to work, designing their own signature scarecrows to be displayed throughout the village. Visitors can stroll through the village, check out the creative and colorful displays and choose their favorite. Voting will be open September 19 through September 30 at JessupFarm.com.

 

FALL DOG & COSTUME PARADE

Hosted by Moore Animal Hospital, attendees can dress up and bring their pups to join the festivities by participating in the Fall Dog Parade and Costume Contest.

 

Participants should register at 10:00 a.m. at the Moore Animal Hospital tent in the plaza. The costume parade and judging will begin at 10:45 a.m. Ribbons will be awarded in a variety of categories, including Best Fall Inspired Costume and Best Dressed Dog & Owner Duo.


BLUE RIBBON CONTEST

The Harvest Festival will also give attendees the opportunity to show off their favorite homemade recipes in a good old-fashioned Blue Ribbon Contest.

 

Pre-registration is required to participate. Those interested in competing should pre-register by September 17 at 5:00 pm at JessupFarm.com. Baked entries should be dropped off at The Farmhouse at Jessup Farm by 10:00 a.m. Judging begins at 11:00 a.m., with winners announced at 1:00 p.m.

 

Contest categories include:

  • Best Cinnamon Roll

  • Best Cookie — Adult

  • Best Cookie — Junior

  • Best Jam or Jelly

  • Best Pie

  • Best Bread


LIVE MUSIC

Live music will amp up the atmosphere and energy at the event.

10:00 am – Noon: Matthew Wilburn Skinner on the plaza

Noon – 2:00 pm: Nick Critchlow on the Sugar Beet Saloon Stage

 

OTHER SCHEDULED EVENTS INCLUDE:

10:00 am – Noon: Petting Zoo and pony rides

10:00 am – 2:00 pm: Vendors in the Plaza

 

Additionally, attendees can enjoy food and drink specials from Jessup Farm merchants throughout the day.
