Wildcraft Farmers Market launches Wildcraft Community Fund

The Winter Farmers Market originally established in November 2006 rebranded to the Wildcraft Farmers Market to reflect its evolution into Colorado’s first year-round indoor farmers market, now operating 50 Saturdays a year, starting in November 2026. 

The anniversary season also marks the beginning of a new mission through the Wildcraft Community Fund, a nonprofit heart behind the market funding SNAP matching, Senior Bucks, and family programming so a Saturday morning at the market is open to everyone, no matter the budget. The nonprofit programs supported by the fund include: 

• Food Access Matching: They match up to $20 in Market Bucks each week to give individuals and families more buying power for food staples

• Senior Saturdays: On the first Saturday of each month, they give seniors 65 and older $20 in market bucks to spend on food staples from local makers

• The Local Music Program: Support Fort Collins local musicians with a living wage for their talents. Every $35 donated pays for an hour of music.

• Community Connect Fund: A donation to this fund helps cover operating, materials, and marketing to bring awareness to the events

The need for these programs continues to grow, with SNAP spending at the market increasing 16% year-over-year during its most recent full season. The market will be open at Foothills Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting November 7 offering an all-weather, pet-friendly destination to shop locally, support small businesses and gather with the community.
